I have been the Operations Director at Investing in Children
since February 2015, previously the Acting Practice Manager from 2011, and
Membership Co-ordinator from 2005 originally joining the Project Team back in
2000.
I have extensive experience working within Children’s Services where I have been employed by Durham County Council in a variety of roles since February 1992, all of which have involved working with children and young people and their families; always passionate about their right to be heard and influence the world around them. I qualified as a local youth worker with Durham County Council at the age of 17, later completing my training in 1991 at the University of Birmingham – Westhill College.
I am active in my local community and enjoy supporting children and young people in a variety of settings, other current roles include – DCC Adoption Panel - Independent Member, St Mary’s RCVA South Moor – Chair of Governors, RDCHN Youth Deanery Development Group – Group Member.
